Terms of Use

The rules that apply when you read or reuse anything published on this independent editorial site about AvaTrade for Australian readers.

Who can use this site, and from where?

Picture a reader in Sydney who opens a page here to understand how AvaTrade presents its fees, then forwards a screenshot to a friend in Melbourne. That ordinary act of reading and sharing a link is exactly what this site is built for, and it is fine. The general rule is simple: anyone may read the material for their own personal, non-commercial use, wherever they happen to be, provided they follow these terms.

This site is written with Australian readers in mind, but it is not a service directed at any particular country, and it makes no claim that its content suits the rules of every jurisdiction. If you access it from somewhere else, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for knowing what your local law allows. You should be old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live.

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time. If you keep using it after these terms change, the updated version applies.

Can I copy or republish what I read here?

You may quote short passages with clear attribution and a working link back to the page you took them from. That is normal editorial courtesy and it is permitted. You may also print a page or save it for your own records.

What you may not do is republish substantial parts of the site as your own work, copy it wholesale onto another website, feed it into a commercial product, or remove our name from material you reproduce. You may not resell it, bundle it with paid services, or present it as though it were produced by the broker or by you. Framing our pages inside another site, or scraping them automatically, is not allowed.

If you want to use the material in a way these terms do not cover, ask us first through the contact form on this site and we will tell you whether it is possible.

How far does your responsibility go?

We write carefully, but we cannot promise that every figure, date or description on the site is current or free of error. Broker terms, fees and product details change, and they are set by the broker, not by us. Before you act on anything you read here, check it against the broker's own documents.

In plain words, we are not responsible for losses you suffer because you relied on this site, because a page was unavailable, or because a third-party site we link to behaved badly. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that the law does not allow us to exclude, including rights you may have under Australian consumer law. Where liability can be limited, it is limited to the greatest extent the law permits.

Is this advice for me personally?

No. This site is an editorial resource. It reviews a broker and explains how that broker's offering looks from the outside. It does not know your income, your debts, your goals or your tolerance for risk, and it cannot take any of those into account.

Nothing published here is a personal recommendation, an offer, an invitation, or a statement that any product is suitable for you. We do not open accounts, hold money, place orders or manage anything on your behalf. We are not the broker and we are not connected to it.

Decisions about trading are yours. If you need advice tailored to your circumstances, speak to someone qualified to give it.

What if one of these clauses cannot be enforced?

Terms like these are written to cover the usual situations, but a clause can occasionally turn out to be invalid or unenforceable, whether because of a change in law or because a court reads it differently from how we intended.

If that happens, the clause in question is treated as removed and the rest of these terms continue in force exactly as written. The remaining provisions stay valid and binding between you and us. We will read the removed clause in the narrowest way that keeps its purpose intact, to the extent the law allows.

What about brand names and links to other sites?

AvaTrade and any other names, logos or marks that appear on this site belong to their respective owners. They are used here only to identify the subject of editorial coverage. Nothing on this site suggests that any brand owner sponsors, approves or endorses it, and nothing here grants you a right to use those marks.

The site may link to pages run by others. Those pages are outside our control and we do not check them continuously. A link is not an endorsement, and we are not responsible for what a third party publishes, offers or does with your information. If you follow an outbound link, the terms and privacy practices of that destination apply, and you should review them before acting.
